About Rachel
Hi, I’m Rachel, the owner of Sit & Stay.
I’m a San Diego native living in beautiful Pacific Beach, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and more, giving me experience with pets of all sizes, breeds, temperaments, and ages.
Pet sitting is my full-time career, and I balance it with the joy of raising my baby, so caring for families—whether two- or four-legged—is truly my life. My love for animals even took me to a 5-acre chicken farm in Ramona, where I learned the value of hard work and the importance of a consistent routine for pets.
My goal is to provide 100% transparency, clear communication, and dependable care every time. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and working with educator e-collars/transmitters for training purposes. At home, I share life with a playful 10-month-old Belgian Malinois/Great Pyrenees mix, a sweet cat, and of course, my baby—so I understand the importance of keeping every family member safe and happy.

Payment and Cancellation Policy
We accept venmo, zelle, cash, or check
At Sit & Stay, there are no hidden fees—all prices listed above are accurate and final.
Once you book, we’ll confirm your services by the end of the day and send an invoice outlining everything included. Payment is due 48 hours before your first scheduled service.
Need to make a change? Just reach out as soon as possible so we can adjust your booking.
If you need to cancel, we offer a full refund with at least 24 hours’ notice, prior to the start of your first scheduled service. Cancellations made within 24 hours will receive a 50% refund.
Holiday bookings may require additional notice.
Visit Updates and Care Reports
We understand how hard it can be to leave your beloved family members at home, so our goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. During each visit, we’ll share photos or videos and keep you informed right away if any concerns come up. When you return, you’ll receive a detailed report card highlighting how your pet did while you were away.
